Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
There is a formula you could also use, there’s a couple of books written by Rory Vaden one’s called, Take the Stairs. He talks mostly about time management. He has in his book something he calls the formula of significance and he says, you know, he says if there’s a task, usually recurring but if there’s a recurring task and if training somebody on that task, somebody or some entity will save me more time than the initial tasks than at the cumulative time over time. Then it’s likely a good use of my time to train somebody to do it. So for example, if you’re going to do a mail merge and send of a letter once it’s probably worth you just doing it. If you just send out your thank you notes one time. It might just be worth you doing if it’s a one-off but if this is like an annual task or this is a quarterly task or a monthly task or or a weekly task and you training somebody on it, will over the long haul save you more time than than it takes to do those letters. Then it’s likely significant enough to delegate off to somebody else.
