Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
COVID made a clear separation between the standardized economy and the customized economy. In other words if I’m about to buy something if I’m going to buy, let’s see. Where is it? If I’m going to buy this marker? I already know the marker. I know what it does, I’ve used them before I don’t have to go to a physical store and buy it. This is a standard product so I can just go online and I’ll buy that. So any physical store that sells a product like this is going to be in trouble. It’s not going to last much longer. However, if I want to go out and buy a pair of glasses. I need to go and have my eyes tested. I need to choose the frames. I need to pick out the style. I need to make sure it fits that’s a customized purchase. I will go to a physical location for that. And I know you can buy online, you know, there’s stores that will sell you Warby Parker and Xeni and and other ones where you could buy glasses, but this would be an example of a customized experience. This would be an example of a standardized experience.
