Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
Methodology that we like to use, called one metric management, what we do is we take the process map, we assign each step in the process to an owner and then we give them a success metric and we say how–and then we go to all the owners of all boxes and we say, what would you have to do to improve that box by one percent? What would have to happen? There’s no magic in one percent, it’s just the smallest number we got, so you could pick a number, we just pick one cause it’s a smallest one. What incremental improvement could they make? Give them their success metric because at the end of the day that’s the one they’re gonna care the most about because they know they’re gonna get yelled at, or they’ll get yelled at by you if they don’t hit that metric and they’re gonna get it, they do, so give them their risk reward metric and let them run their position off of that.
