If they use a certain body posture or greeting or way of walking and you do the same they will think oh, okay, they will find comfort and they will find certainty in that. Okay. So there’s a part of your body, there’s a part of you that handles rapport and it’s a self-defense mechanism. Rapport we know of today as oh, is this somebody I have in common with and you know, is this somebody that I aligned with but the way our central nervous system is wired. We can’t live without that because we feel you know back in primal days. When you were out of report surroundings you know, you got eaten by a saber tiger in a saber-toothed tiger. So the idea of being out of rapport with your surroundings is not an option. We are in rapport with our surroundings, and so we are kind of like projectors in that whatever we believe are identifying of ourselves on the inside. We create a world around us on the outside.
