Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
Do we offer you know for a slight premium that faster service, to add some perceived value to it, you know. You’re already getting–I remember this, I remember one of the last jobs I had is, I packed boxes for U.P.S and I used to unload the trucks in the beginning and then I used to load all the trucks. I’ve never been to Morris town square but I knew every address of every location there because I used to pack all the trucks. So I’m brand new, brand new right out of the box and I’m unloading the truck to trailers and they said “anything you know, it’s color coded, this color goes here, these color goes here, put it on that conveyor belt”, so I’m unloading and I know this, all these overnight packages and I said “ah don’t you segment like don’t the overnight the guaranteed overnight packages come in a separate truck?” they said “no! it comes in a regular truck” I said “really” I said then “so all the other packages though are coming in the overnight truck, are you saying people are paying more for overnight even though everything comes overnight just about?” and they said “sshhhh..quiet..shut up you’re new..shut up” and I said “why shut up?” they said “yes everything in U.P.S ships overnight, everything”. I’m telling you everything ships overnight, right. But you pay for overnight cause they don’t–they put the premium on overnight.
