Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
Start time, finish time, no contractor driven change orders, senior project manager and our guarantee was, you would have the same shrub and plant material one year later. I guarantee the plants I said “you will have the same number of plant materials”, so the plant called for 500 shrubs, I would just plant 10% more, I had a loss rate of 3 to 5%, I go back the next year, you counted them all, you thought you’re getting a freebie because you thought you saw a few dead ones. I’d say ” yeah, you know what, Frank you’d better go out there and count them, make sure we got enough”, and then you would count like 500 and 10 and a call for 500 and I would say “so Frank, how many did you come up with?” they say “no, um I think you’re okay”, no I think I got 500 and 10, Frank don’t I ? and so we would have a laugh about it and then I would say “yeah I over planted you, I added one on every row da-da-da”, so my guys, the old ones throw and get the truck and we go, see you later, we meet our threshold. And so if you can solve one of them, that’s your bronze up-sell, so what I want you to do going forward is on every single project, give them the standard scope of work proposal and then for every industry complaint you can fix, you’re gonna offer an option with those in it.
