Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
Alright, now for all of you that don’t live in New Jersey for all the reasons you were thinking of moving back, here’s the biggest reason is they pump the gas for us, it’s full service for no extra, alright. So the second to last job I had was I worked at the Hess gas station and one of my jobs was I used to have to accept the fuel truck and I have to sign off on all the gallons but what I use to say is how many gallons of each type 87, 89 and 93 octane and what do we pay for each? And guess what you know what the service station pay? The same amount within one penny of all three grades, I said so here’s my 16 years old curiosity, I said “Greg (the owner) hey! Greg, we can make a lot for premium” he goes and “that’s why I want you to continue to offer it, cause we pay the same for all three grades we don’t make anything on regular, we make all of our money on premium” I mean like 20 cents a gallon on premium, right. That’s why when you pull in you know that everyone–they all encourage you supremes the best you know they want you to take that, it’s the same cost. So that’s the long way of saying, you know maybe we create the perception of extra value for that quicker service.
