Most of you got into business by either being a front of the house business leader, or a back of the house business leader. In other words, if you are a front of the house business leader, you started out you were a salesperson, you could sell ice to polar bears. And, you were doing so good selling that you said “Ah we’re giving away so much margin we ought to bring fulfillment in house.” So, you have to find a back of the house, you know, business leader. Either a partner or an executive to run that part of the business, right? So here’s my question. If you are a front of the house person and you’re wired for effectiveness, what qualifies you to recruit, hire, manage, and monitor a partner or executive for the back of the house?
