Hi Everybody, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO, that’s right just a minute 10 second investment each day for a lifetime of results. Today’s topic – Networking.
OK, you know your sales team, you may even be saying to yourself, ‘I’m sick of networking those trade shows, those networking events. The wrong people show up, they don’t work.’ That’s baloney! Networking events work. That’s why people keep showing up. You’re just not working them enough or your sales team is not working them enough. But networking and prospecting is one of the top ways to generate solid leads, committed leads with a high close ratio on a regular basis. You’ve done the ideal client exercise I hope already, so you should be networking where your ideal client is hanging out. Here’s an activity that I suggest, you make sure that you belong to four groups, at least four groups that meet once per month, so you are going to a meeting at least once a week. If you say, ‘wait a minute, I already belong to one group that meets every week.’ That’s one group. MINIMUM, 4 groups that meet at least once a month. I want to find out how many you’re doing.
